Most women can begin light exercises, like walking, after their 6-week postpartum checkup, but recovery time varies depending on their delivery type. The first 6 weeks are essentially a time for your body to adjust back to a non-pregnant state and move into a moterly state. Your energy levels and desire for exercise may well have changed from your pre-pregnancy lifestyle.
